2011 | HCE Conference 11 | Boise Idaho HCE 2011 brought a diverse mix of renewable energy, economic development, and agriculture doers together to look closely at success stories and hear from leaders and innovators.

2010 | HCE Conference X | Kennewick, WA HCE 2010 drew 560 participants to Eastern Washington’s Tri-Cities Three Rivers Convention Center, with 39 sponsor organizations and 36 vendors who exhibited. HCE 10 succeeded in pulling in a geographically and politically diverse crowd for a three-day immersion into the promise and challenges of making clean energy work for rural business and economic development.

2009 | HCE Conference IX | Billings, MT The Harvesting Clean Energy Conference ran from Jan 25-27, drawing 520 people from 25 states to blustery Billings for the Northwest’s premier annual agricultural energy event. Dozens of speakers presented the latest in wind power, sustainable biofuels, energy efficiency, carbon opportunities and rural clean energy development strategies.

2008 | HCE Conference VIII | Portland, OR A record 630 farmers, ranchers, energy developers, venture capitalists, energy entrepreneurs, utility officials, and government leaders from throughout the Northwest registered for this year's conference, held January 28-29 in Portland, OR.

2007 | HCE Conference VII | Boise, Idaho Conference attendance continued to grow, with more than 600 folks participating in the seventh HCE Conference and associated Biodiesel in the Northwest workshop, January 28-30, 2007 in Boise.

2006 | HCE Conference VI | Spokane, Washington The sixth HCE Conference, held February 27-28, 2006 in Spokane, was a huge success with over 500 participants from throughout the region.

2005 | HCE Conference V | Great Falls, Montana Held in conjunction with one of Montana’s most important agricultural events – MAGIE (Montana Agricultural & Industrial Exposition) – the fifth annual HCE Conference was held on January 20-21, 2005 in Great Falls, Montana.

2004 | HCE Conference IV | Portland, Oregon The fourth HCE Conference was held on January 20-21, 2004 in Portland, Oregon, in conjunction with the 90th annual Northwest Food Manufacturing & Packaging Exposition.

2003 | HCE Conference III | Boise, Idaho The third HCE Conference was held on February 10-11, 2003 in Boise, Idaho, in conjunction with the Idaho Ag Summit.

2002 | HCE Conference II | Pasco, Washington The second HCE Conference was held on February 26-27, 2002 in Pasco, Washington.

Success Stories

The Oregon National Guard dedicated the Captain John W. Brown Armory in Ontario, Ore on Aug. 11, 2010. The 36,000 square foot facility features "green technology", incorporating a highly-efficient hydrothermal-based heating system, and one of the largest solar power arrays on the Idaho Power Company's electrical grid.
