Harvesting Clean Energy tours:
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Southern Idaho Clean Energy Tour ($60)
Travel by bus from Mountain Home Wind Farm to Fish Breeders Inc. in Hagerman to Kohntopp Solar/Wind Installation in Filer. Stop for Lunch in Twin Falls, then tour Cargill’s digester at Bettencourt Dairy in Wendell. We’ll return to Boise by 4:00 p.m.
10:00 a.m. to Noon Understanding the Grid ($25)
Tour Idaho Power Grid Operations. 1.5 mile walking tour.
9:00 a.m. to Noon Waste to Power ($25)
Bus tour of Ada County Landfill and City of Boise’s West Boise Wastewater Treatment Facility waste to energy project.
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Energy Efficiency in Food Processing ($25)
Tour Simplot’s frozen potato warehouse with LED lighting and frozen French Fry processing operation.
