"The Production Tax Credit has actually been in existence since 1992. Thank you for your support and advocacy on behalf of a strong energy title in the farm bill.

Yesterday Senator Dick Lugar with Senator Kent Conrad led a strong bipartisan coalition to add $800 million of mandatory spending for rural energy. There are many more steps until the farm bill becomes law, but this was perhaps the most important because lack of mandatory funding in the Senate Committee mark very well may have taken it off the table going forward.

Biodiesel Testing at University of Idaho

Biodiesel Testing at University of Idaho

For over 30 years, the University of Idaho has experimented with biodiesel, straight vegetable oil, and a variety of blends with petrodiesel. Each time biodiesel was tested in a vehicle, the engine was provided to the engine manufacturer for inspection. The goal was to prove to engine manufacturers that biodiesel would not harm their engines, and to convince them to warrantee their engines to run on biodiesel.
